There is something special to discover at Albert Heijn in Shopping Genk: a fully customised Pokémon vending machine.
For this project, we did not want to simply install a standard vending machine. We wanted to create a machine that immediately catches the eye and fits perfectly into the world of Pokémon. From the design and lighting to the products inside, every detail was carefully considered.
The result is now installed at Albert Heijn in Shopping Genk and is hard to miss.
A vending machine that immediately stands out
When it comes to vending, the products inside are obviously important, but the appearance of the machine matters just as much.
That is why this vending machine was given a complete Pokémon-themed design. The machine features well-known Pokémon characters and lighting that makes it stand out even more.
At a busy location such as Shopping Genk, we wanted to create a vending machine that attracts the attention of both Pokémon fans and other visitors to the shopping centre.
Pokémon products straight from the vending machine
Inside the machine, customers can find a selection of Pokémon products and collectibles. Visitors to the shopping centre can easily purchase a Pokémon product directly from the vending machine.
For us, this project is also a great example of how vending can be used in different ways. Vending machines are no longer limited to selling soft drinks and snacks.
With the right machine and presentation, collectibles and many other non-food products can also be sold automatically.
From an idea to a real installation at Albert Heijn
For this project, we had the opportunity to install the Pokémon vending machine at Albert Heijn in Shopping Genk.
After developing the concept, we prepared and stocked the machine before installing it at its new location.
It is always great to see an idea that started on paper turn into a real vending machine that visitors at Shopping Genk can use every day.
